Kristin Gifford is a poet in Minneapolis. She writes about human connection through transition, grief, nature, and spirituality.

When Kristin stepped away from her decade+ career as an English teacher in the public schools, she found she was not entirely alone during her long fall into the unknown. Poetry was there too. In 2023 she worked with poet Gretchen Marquette through the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis in the yearlong Poetry Apprenticeship, completing her first manuscript. Along the way, she published individual poems in various journals. She lives and writes in the western burbs of Minneapolis with her partner and child.
